Nuria Taveras Urena

As a member of the NYCPros team since 2005, Nuria serves as the liaison for parents of infants with cleft lip and palate. In her role, Nuria personally guides families through the treatment process and is responsible for all planning, coordination of appointments, finances and insurance claims. Known for her extraordinary kindness and strong sense of justice, Nuria helps create a welcoming atmosphere for families and works hard to help them navigate the complexities of insurance. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the New School in 1993 and is also CPR Certified. When she is not working, Nuria advocates for maxillofacial patients and their families through volunteer work with craniofacial support groups such as NexGen Face. Outside of work, you can find Nuria traveling through Spain or France, exploring a local artist exhibition, attending a dance performance or dancing one of the various styles she has studied. She is fluent in Spanish and French.
