In honor of Professor Branemark, the pioneer of implant dentistry, and World Osseointegration Day, Dr. Brecht gave an invited live webinar that was broadcast worldwide. He discussed the genesis and history of osseointegration and Professor Branemark’s instrumental contribution to its application in dentistry and the impact upon current practice and implant solutions for edentulous patients. Dr. Brecht further presented the Jaw in a Day procedure (JIAD™), his own pioneering treatment for patients who lose their jaw to tumors, whether cancerous or benign, and took questions on the process for over a half hour.
